Patterned Panels

'Patterned Panels', A3 (29.7x40cm), pencil on 200gsm drawing paper, 28/3/26

For this drawing, I wanted to explore how different organic shapes, when repeated to create a pattern, interact with each other. I wanted there to be a distinct contrast between the natural, floral forms and the stark edges defining each panel. As a result, the sections in which two different forms collide create a sort of hybrid flower. This process was exciting for me!
